VP of Community Service

Hello! My name is Maleeha Farzansyed and I am this year's Vice President of Community Service. I believe it is very important in building a strong relationship with the community around us, which is why I am proud to be in this position. I am greatly involved in school including Student Council, Treasurer for Class Council, Rotary, Badminton, Speech Team and Scholastic Bowl. I also am part of Schuler, which is a college access program. Outside of school, I am part of an environmental organization called Center for Conservation Leadership and did a stewardship project in Niles Public Library. I usually have a good amount on my plate, but during my free time I watch Netflix or hang out with family. I look forward to an amazing year and will do my absolute best in making this a successful year!

VP of Administration

Hi everyone! My name is Bart Mendrala and I am this year’s Vice President of Administration. My role is to help make sure everything runs smoothly at events, as well as a lot of paperwork. Most of my work is behind the scenes, but that does not mean I am not working! Outside of class I am involved in a lot of music events. Keep an eye out for me at V-Show and the musical! I am also part of the Schuler Scholar Program, a college access organization, as well as Tri-M, an honor society for music. If I am not hanging out with my family and two younger siblings in my free time, I am probably traveling or teaching myself Photoshop. I am really excited for this year and cannot wait to see the impact we all have on our community!

VP of School Service

Hey! My name is Olga Goumas and I'm your Vice President of School Service. I'm involved in multiple areas inside and outside of school. You may have seen me on those quarterly Rcode lessons or maybe as an MC in the assemblies. I'm also around selling delicious sweet treats for the Bake for a Change club. However, my favorite in school activity is playing for the basketball team. It's a great way to stay active and do something that I love all on one court. Outside of school, I enjoy cooking, gardening and occasionally binge watch any new Netflix series. As the school service officer, I look forward to leading multiple events to make Maine East grow as a school and a community. This will be done through volunteer opportunities within the school and NHS run events. I'm looking forward to what this year has to offer!
